The Art of Leading Effective Meetings

COURSE DATES

Monday 29 June 9.00am to 5.00pm

LOCATION

In Person workshop

St Peter Port, Guernsey

A skill building workshop for anyone who brings people together.

If you want to refresh the way you lead group conversations at work, whether in person or online, this one-day workshop is for you. You’ll learn how to guide clearer, more engaging conversations and create environments where people feel able to participate. You’ll also leave with practical tools to use immediately.

Meetings shape far more than the agenda.  The way they’re led influences decisions, momentum and how people feel about themselves and each other. In hybrid settings, this becomes even more important. That’s why facilitation is one of the most powerful, and most overlooked, leadership skills.

This workshop helps you gather people together with purpose, clarity and empathy. Whether you’re leading teams, or working with clients, suppliers or peers, you’ll gain a stronger understanding of group dynamics, the awareness to engage with different communication styles and techniques to lead groups with confidence.

What this workshop is about

Leading groups is a core business skill and hybrid working has raised the bar. Poorly led meetings waste time, dilute ideas and leave people disengaged. But when meets are led effectively, people stay focused, think more creatively and feel connected to the work. This is a major driver of employee engagement.

That’s why this workshop is designed to sharpen your ability to lead conversations that get people thinking, contributing and moving forward. You’ll learn how to design discussions that work for everyone. When people feel heard, they bring more energy, better ideas and stronger ownership.

A key part of this learning is understanding the influence of your natural communication style and the strength it brings to a group. You’ll explore how to use those strengths more intentionally and flex them when needed to connect with people who think and communicate differently.  This is what strengthens engagement and keeps conversations effective, especially in hybrid environments where cues and dynamics shift.
